Europe's company websites are mostly served by US vendors

I just found out that the website of the Senate of my home European country is hosted on AWS.. Straight from a US region. I actually would like to bring this up to someone because I find it unacceptable that my connection needs to travel all the way to the US and back to access an institutional website

I wouldn’t be surprised if 100% of UK government webites are hosted in the US. I have to navigate Microshit all the time to view planning applications and council pdfs. Labour is subservient to the US

Cloudflare could just be used as DDOS protection while hosting all other services locally.
